PERM MOTORS: HEAD FOR INDIA!
During February 7 - 11, 2007 the companies of Perm Motors Group will participate in the 6th International Aero India 2005 Air Show, which will be held at Yelahanka Air Force Base in Bangalore (India).
Aero India Air Show has been held for eleventh time already. This year more than 40 enterprises and companies of the Russian Aviation Industry will display their products therein. Among them are MiG Aircraft Company, Irkut Scientific & Production Amalgamation, Beriev Aircraft Company, Rostvertol Helicopter Company. It is expected that about 500 companies from 52 counties will take part in this event. Leading aviation companies from USA, Russia, Sweden, France, Italy and other countries will demonstrate to the guests and attendees of the exhibition the most up-to-date aircraft, advanced aviation equipment, airborne hardware, maintenance and repair facilities, navigation and safety-support systems.
Perm Motors in cooperation with Rosoboronexportprom will show their last developments, including the PS-90A-76 aero-engine, which will replace the out-of-date D-30KP-2 engines on IL-76 aircraft and will be used in new transport aircraft IL-76TD-90VD, IL-76MD-90 and IL-76MF. The project of IL-76 aircraft updating is topical not only for the Russian transport aviation, but for the Indian transport aviation as well, because India has a wide fleet of such aircraft. This project has become of the paramount importance since ICAO 2006 standards have established more stringent environment requirements. Thanks to the PS-90A-76 engine, which meets all current and future international environment requirements, the updated IL-76 can fly worldwide without any restrictions. "Volga-Dnepr" Airline has been actively operating the cargo model of the aircraft - IL-76TD-90VD, and is going to buy one more similar aircraft in May 2007.
Perm engine building companies are also planning to familiarize the guests and participants of the Air Show with the PS-12 turbofan aero-engine with 12 ton thrust. The engine is designed for the MS-21 short-medium-haul aircraft of a new generation. The aircraft is now in the process of development at Yakovlev Aircraft Company. The PS-12 aero-engine will form the basis for the development of a family of 7-18 ton aero-engines and highly effective industrial engines ranging from 6 MW to 16 MW.
Besides the PS-12 engine is offered as the main model of the power plant for joint Russian-Indian multi-purpose transport aircraft.
The products of "Reductor-PM" OJSC, one of the leading companies of Perm Motors Group, which produces the main-rotor gearboxes for the most popular in the world Mi-8 and Mi-26 helicopters, will also be displayed at the Air Show. For many years the Airlines of India are the trustworthy partners of Perm engine building companies.
