Perm Engine-Builders Became Participants of One of the Most Ambitious Projects of 21 century

Late in December 2006, Perm engine-builders became the winners of the Tenders for supply of gas turbine equipment for power plant and crude oil transportation, within the frame work of Sakhalin-2 project.

In this tender for supply of gas turbine gensets, Aviadvigatel had a team-work with Iskra-Energetika, which was announced as general equipment supplier for this project. The tender was carried out by Sakhalin Energy and Fluor Daniel. The competitors of Perm engine-builders were such well-known companies as Siemens and Solar.

As a result of the tender, Iskra-Energetika and Aviadvigatel became the winners and entered into proper contracts. Aviadvigatel as the designer and manufacturer of "Ural-4000" gas turbine genset must dispatch three "Ural-4000" gensets rated at 4 MW each till the end of the year 2007. The equipment be supplied will be manufactured as explosion-proof, earthquake-proof, corrosion-resistant.

For the Tender for supply of two crude oil pump sets, Aviadvigatel has acted independently and will deliver "Ural-6000" gas turbine-driven pump set rated at 6 MW each. The gas turbine genset will be equipped with 5 MW crude oil pumps produced by RuhRPumpen of Germany.

According to Valeriy Zheglov, General Director of Perm Motors Group, the results of the Sakhalin-2 Project Tenders are recognition of our machinery competitive strength not only by Russian, but also by Western customers in the world market of power generation and oil sectors.
