December 19, 2006. The first test flight of Tu-204CE (onboard No. 64036) was made in Ulyanovsk. The aircraft is intended for delivery to Cubana de Aviacion Airline of Cuba.

The Tu-204CE medium-hail cargo aircraft is a new representative of the family of Tu-204/214 aircraft that are equipped with the PS-90A engines. The aircraft was built by "Aviastar-SP" Ulyanivsk's plant and will be delivered to Cuba in 2007 after certification tests.

The engines manufacture for Cuba is set forth in the Contract signed by "Ilyushin Finance Co" Leasing Company and Perm Engine Company. The Contract provides for the delivery of 27 PS-90A aero-engines with the second generation acoustic treatment, which contribute to the noise level that meets ICAO Stage 4 noise requirements for aircraft service.
