Perm Engine Builders Expand Products Range

On November 20 - 23, 2006 specialists of "Vnukovo Aircraft Repair Works" paid a visit to Aviadvigatel. The key issues regarding the Contract for gas turbine gensets delivery for the repair plant were discussed.

During the negotiations Aviadvigatel and Vnukovo Aircraft Repair Works reached agreement on the development of 10 MW gas turbine genset of a modular type based on Perm "Ural"-Series gensets. According to the opinion of Vnukovo Aircraft Repair Works specialists such a genset that does not require durably installation and is ease for transportation is optimal for them.

In addition the parties reviewed the primary configurations of the gas turbine genset bench, for installing GTE-10PK gas turbine, synchronous generators and systems, air filtration and exhaust modules therein.

The first set of equipment for the genset will be supplied to the customer in the 1st quarter of 2007. The second equipment set will be delivered by the mid-2007.

Additional Information

The Contract for the development, manufacture and delivery of two 10 MW gas turbine gensets was signed by Aviadvigatel and Vnukovo Aircraft Repair Works late in December 2005. D-30EU-10 engine is used as a drive of the genset. The engine was developed by Perm engineers on the basis of D-30KU aero-engine.
