YAMAL GAS FIELDS ARE REPLENISHED BY PERM GTU-16P GAS TURBINES

In August - September 2006 three Perm-produced GTU-16P gas turbines are scheduled for putting into service after the commissioning of East-Tarkosalinskaya Gas Boost Compressor Station.

It is the first project of the largest independent producer of gas - NOVATEK OJSC, which is implemented by using Perm gas turbines.

East-Tarkosalinskaya Gas Boost Compressor Station locates near Pionersky settlement 15 kilometers from Tarko-Sale town of Yamal-Nenets autonomous region. The station is intended to compress natural gas to the pressure, under which Urengoi-Surgut-Chelyabinsk gas pipeline is operated, and will transport gas to utilities. Nominal production capacity of the station is more that 17 000 000 m3 of gas a day.

East-Tarkosalinskaya Gas Boost Compressor Station includes three GKA-16 "Ural" gas compressor plants with 16 MW each (developed and produced by "Iskra" OJSC, Russia). The station will be operated by NORTGAS company of Tarkosaleneftegas. To support the gas turbines maintenance and servicing a representative of Perm Engine Co. will be available at the field site.
