Perm Motors in process of working up contract with UAC and ready for sweeping changes for the best

Press briefing devoted to the outcomes of the visiting meeting of United Aircraft Corporation was held in Perm. The briefing was conducted by Valery Zheglov, General Director of Perm Motors Group Management Company.

Newsmen were given the first-hand confirmation that till the end of 2015 the order of UAC for the PS-90A-family aero-engines may reach 850-900 units. Perm Motors Group must prepare the Contract on the engines manufacture within the next month. Valery Zheglov said that a special working team had been established to prepare such a contract. The team will make up a joint development plan of cooperation in the manufacture of some individual parts and components of the engine and a plan for some feedstocks required for engines manufacture. The company is also planning to involve research institutes thereto.

At the press briefing Valery Zheglov confessed that "the top managers of the company had quite a turn when heard the size of the order".

- Perm has confirmed the ability to design, develop and produce engines and put them into serial production with dispatch. For example, now we are facing the task to begin the serial production of the PS-90A2 aero-engine. Moreover the customers have made stipulations that even the very first engines must be built-up as production ones. This can be achieved only if there is strong cooperation of manufacturers and the engine design bureau. We have the games in hands in regard thereto, since we have kept the business relations of the manufacturer and engine design bureau. And it is very important because it is impossible to complete such an order on one's jack.

As Valery Zheglov thinks the order of UAC will involve the companies and enterprises of the whole aerospace industry, because the business of Perm Motors Group provides for close cooperation with components and primary materials suppliers from other regions of Russia. The General Director also mentioned that the re-location of some components productions to Perm Motors Group production site is currently negotiated.
